Carnal mind interprets carnally. Spiritual mind interprets things of the spirit. (1)

Carnal ‘revelation’ is like bulb coming on as in cartoons. It could be a new idea or an idea of doing something differently. But it is not a revelation.
Revelation is not any smart information, it is the unveiling of which is already there but not revealed, either to an individual or to anybody yet.

Revelation is dependent on our intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit and our hunger to commune with Him.

God reveals to us and gives us the foreknowledge for us and for a larger audience. Prophesy is not what you wish to see and you analyse and think the most probable one. That is prediction, presumption. There is no God in it. Prophesy is God speaking about things that are about to take place.

Life comes at you from so many directions that it can be difficult to decipher what the Holy Spirit is showing you. You may be so consumed by the world that you cannot see His perspective.

Take time to step back and step away from everything that is cluttering your mind to see from His vantage point what He is trying to show you. (2), (3)

Ask, and He will reveal.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Exodus 3:3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

Revelation 3:18b …. and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Revelation 4:1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
